Great Location. Good breakfast and good menu variety and value for money. Friendly staff and good service. Convenient parking. Lovely reception area with coffee dock available.
Hotel was lovely and clean with ideal location and staff very friendly. Great food and delicious homemade brown bread for breakfast . Only fault was the phone in the room was broken and wasn’t fixed even though we notified the hotel after checking in
The location was perfect to shops and restaurants and touring around wexford, The hotel fab staff so friendly food was great from breakfast to evening with different options available.
Lovely hotel. Bar food food. Wine price a bit expensive. Room very comfortable.
The staff were lovely
I really enjoyed my stay at the Talbot Hotel, the bedroom was very comfortable and the food was excellent. I will come back ????
Visited this hotel with 6 friends and from the moment we entered the hotel we were welcomed, and nothing was too much bother. The rooms are clean and spacious. We had a table booked for our meal and it was in a perfect spot for us to have a giggle. Our meal was excellent, and service was prompt but not overpowering. Breakfast was the best I have had with a long time the bacon and sausages were cooked perfectly, not the usual pale ones you get. Free parking was a bonus, and the hotel is in an excellent location near the shops and bars. Will definitely be back.
Brilliant price for two nights bed and breakfast. Had a lovely stay, hotel is lovely food is lovely and the staff are very nice and very welcoming. Hotel is very close to all the shops. I would recommend the Talbot Hotel, Wexford.
We enjoyed the stay in the hotel , food and drinks went down well for breakfast and dinners which we had both days . Our room was beautiful with a sea view and located so close to the town of shops and restaurants. We more than likely stay again in the future . Thanking all the staff .

Had a lovely stay and the staff were very helpful I am returning in September with a group Thank you
Talbot hotel Wexford is really nice, the water pressure in the shower wasn’t very good but that’s the only thing I could complain about, staff were lovely and helpful, room was spotless, food was really nice and it’s really central for all the shops, bars and restaurants, would definitely recommend and definitely go back.
Staff very helpful and friendly lovely room will certainly visit again
The Talbot hotel is a lovely place to stay in and relax. It is close to the main street for browsing along the shops. The staff are helpful and friendly and the food is very nice. Well worth a visit.
Lovely Hotel in a great location. Food excellent, both breakfast and bar food. Didn't get to eat in restaurant as it was booked out. Staff excellent and very friendly. Very busy and atmospheric which we really enjoyed. The only fault we had was that the room was very warm and you couldn't open the window any more than an inch or so,- felt a bit trapped as a result and a bit too hot to sleep properly. The room itself was perfect size wise though we didn't pay for a view so didn't get one.
Food and seating area and pool lovely
We had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel. Service was delivered with a smile and the staff were very helpful. The room was cleaned thoroughly. Food was 1st class. Overall a lovely break keep up the good work.

Lovely stay at the Talbot Hotel, very well looked after, staff very professional, food excellent, location couldn't be better, would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
Lovely clean hotel. Was given a family room, very large and very clean. Bar staff very friendly and great atmosphere in bar. Breakfast served at table and very tasty. Staff engagement with each other lovely to see and seemed very happy at work. Well done
Hotel very central great location.the food was top class .the staff were very good and helpful. Prices for food and drinks very reasonable. We would have no hesitation with booking the hotel again
Highly recommend this Hotel From our arrival to the end it was amazing
Loved our stay in the Talbot. Rooms were very modern and clean. The food was excellent throughout the whole stay and the atmosphere and music were excellent. The room was a bit noisy as there seemed to be a fan right outside the window.
Fantastic Hotel with amazing food. The staff where really nice and the room was spotless.Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back.
Lovely stay

Very central. Staff very friendly. Room good size. Breakfast good. Had a chicken curry first night very very disappointing. Curry sauce just poured over the chicken. Manager very nice about the food and discounted it from bill.
Clean, pretty hotel with friendly staff. In the middle of everything and lovely food. Lovely stay - will be back.
All staff very welcoming and friendly. Food good. Very reasonably priced. Nice decor and very comfortable rooms

Had a lovely stay ,the Hotel is spotless, Lovely comfy bed. Staff are super friendly. Breakfast was faultless and food in the Ballist Bar was amazing.
Really clean hotel. Staff were very friendly and all covid 19 regulations were met and easily mapped out for guests to adhere too. Great location and beautiful view from my room.
Can't fault this hotel on location, price or staff, happy with everything
Brilliant hotel. Central to everything. Staff and food was lovely
I spent three nights at the Talbot hotel - we were two adults and two young children. We certainly enjoyed our time there. Good options for food, the standard of which was pretty good all round. Breakfast was particularly good. Swimming pool was very handy and never too busy. Down side might be the hotel was very full generally, so that the best seats in foyer, bar are generally taken. Wine was very expensive, but everything else was good value.
Excellent hotel as usual even better with all the new renovations. Highly recommend
My wife and I stayed at the Talbot Hotel Wexford on Sunday 19 March 2017. Package: Bed and Breakfast plus one evening meal. Bedroom was OK, apart from poor broadband (signal kept crashing) Breakfast was fine. Evening meal (main course) was very poor. We had beef, very tough, apparently re-heated and cooked probably for lunch earlier in the day. Starter and dessert was OK. Staff were friendly and offered to change main course. We stayed there before and quality of food seems to be a "hit and miss" If we stay again, we will probably avoid having an evening meal in the hotel.
Lovely Stay For My Birthday The Hotel is Lovely The New Resteraunt Has been Refurbished and it is Lovely ,You could not get any Nicer Staff very Polite and Friendly The Food is Tasty and Plentiful .
We couldn't fault the staff, all of them were lovely. The room, however, left a lot to be desired. There was a smell as you entered like something damp had been left in the wardrobe! Not pleasant. The bed I was surprised to find was a 4 foot 6 inch standard double bed not the usual 5 foot expected of a four star hotel! We had booked for three nights, if it was just the one I would have said nothing. When I requested a move to another room, I was told the hotel was full but that she would see what she could do. But nothing could be done! I still expected a manager/supervisor to check the room and ask if we were okay! But nothing. Not four star accommodation by a long stretch. The dinner on Tuesday night was gorgeous. The kitchen went out of their way to accommodate a fussy eater (me!) I ordered the whiting from the menu but without the peas or potatoes just a salad, it was exceptional. Thank you. Catering for a full hotel when renovating the restaurant is a difficult task and while dinner worked well breakfast did not. The full Irish was cold, under cooked and queues even at quiet times were long. Not sure I would go back to stay, maybe for dinner! Three Stars like their hotel should be definitely not Four.
Had a great weekend staying at this hotel . Had a room with lovely view onto sea front. Very comfortable and clean.
Excellent hotel as usual
had a great weekend staying at this hotel
Great location, friendly staff. We were given a family room although we had only requested a double room with a cot. Our room had a lovely view of the sea. Can't really complain here.
Really lovely hotel great location and great rooms with a great view
Stayed in the Talbot hotel on Thursday night as a treat to celebrate my 40th birthday- while the hotel was fantastic we got no sleep as the people in the room next door were shouting most of the night and child crying - at 1 stage they put the child outside the door and left to cry - at 06:40 we had enough as at this stage the noise had woken my 2 kids I rang reception to complain as was told that the porter would check this out - we finally got back to sleep after 7. when we went to pay the following morning my husband mentioned it to the receptionist whose response was nothing she could do about it 1 of these things - I thought her attitude was very flippant and would be a factor on whether I would return to the hotel or not in the future.
The Talbot is a lovely hotel. Very central to everything. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We stayed one night and had a great time. Wexford is excellent for shopping, eating and socialising .
Nice hotel with a great location. Very good food and friendly staff.
lovely hotel, stayed in a family room which had lots of space, comfortable beds and a lovely view of the quay, swimming pool was lovely and warm, breakfast was good, lots of choice, 2 out of 3 of the receptionist we met could have been more friendly though, not a single smile from them, the only complaint id hav coming away from there was the showers in the swimming pool changing rooms - having to turn them on every 10 seconds while ur trying to wash and rinse out your hair is such a pain, other than that would definitely recommend
The Talbot Wexford impressed me with it's relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was faultless, and the room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable, such good value, and there was midweek entertainment to boot. I also had a beauty treatment in one of the Talbot's beauty rooms, the therapist was excellent. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough, and hope to return soon.
Beautiful Hotel very friendly and helpful Staff food beautiful well worth a visit we will be back very soon Thank you
Stayed 1 night last weekend in the Talbot Hotel. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Had a room with lovely view onto sea front. Enjoyed swim in pool followed by lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will return again. Catherine from Tipperary
excellent hotel as usual
Our stay at the Talbot Wexford Hotel for two nights form 19th February to 21st February 2016 was very enjoyable. On our arrival we found the reception staff very friendly and they made us feel most welcome. We ate in the hotel on Friday and Saturday night and found the food to be delicious. We did not need to leave the hotel for entertainment as there was live music on both nights which we found most enjoyable. The room was lovely and we had a beautiful view of the harbour from our window. The next time we return to Wexford we would definitely consider staying at the Talbot Wexford Hotel again as we had a great time and found all the staff to be very helpful and attentive.
We had a very enjoyable night last Friday in The Talbot Hotel. Beautiful meal, very friendly and helpful staff. We had great fun in the bar afterwards with the musician. He was wonderful and very entertaining. I will definitely be back again.
Beautiful hotel..... Staff very friendly and helpful... Even though it is a big hotel there is a lovely friendly atmosphere... Rooms are lovely and food excellent.... Very enjoyable stay
I stayed there recently for 1 night last weekend all I can say is I definitely would stay again. The staff extremely efficient friendly and helpful nothing a problem to them. The room was lovely very comfortable and clean. We had a meal in the bar and the food atmosphere was very good. I would give it a 5 star rating. Mary Kilkenny
The pics look better than the actual hotel
The hotel is very nice and well located, the room was lovely, really enjoyed the pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. Breakfast was nice, the organisation was a little disorganised. On the whole i would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in wexford.
I booked a family room for one night for me and my two girls aged (10,13). We received a warm welcome when we arrived by the reception staff. The hotel is situated right at the end of the main road overlooking the sea with lots of free parking. The room was very large with plenty space for the girls to spread themselves out. The room was very clean and stylish. My daughters liked the fact that they could use the wifi. The girls loved the fact the swimming pool was available to them as the weather was very bad during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel. I look forward to returning in the near future.
Great hotel great location lovely breakfast and food in the hotel bar is fab
check in was quick,we got our requested non-smoking room which was at the end of a long corridor away from reception, room was smallish but we slept well .Breakfast was very good with a wide choice.Dinner was ok nothing to write home about. All staff were excellent and it has a lovely well stocked bar
Absolutly fab hotel, excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff and our room was very clean .Will def be back well worth a visit and hotel location is 2 min walk from main street.Def worth a visit
Lovely hotel. Bedroom needs a revamp. Furniture has seen better days. Bathroom could also do with a bit of care, tiles cracked and other little details not up to scratch. Food was excellent and the staff were lovely really friendly and courtious.
hotel bar and lobby lovely food good, but roomdissapointing, would not like to be staying more than one night in it.
Myself and my husband recently stayed in The Talbot Hotel Wexford. We had a really enjoyable stay. The staff were really nice and helpful and the hotel its self was lovely and clean. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty. We would definitely stay again.
We always stay in the Talbot when in Wexford, its a great hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful, one thing that let down this stay was the food in the restaurant, it was not restaurant quality it was more like a carvery food, the bar menu food was better.
Great hotel. Great service. Would highly recommend!
I stayed at the Talbot Wexford for a one night break with three girlfriends. We had two lovely rooms ,very comfortable and quiet. The beauty salon was great ,with friendly staff and a good selection of treatments. ...We had dinner in the restaurant, the service ,the food and the presentation were all superb. Overall it was a great experience,we were really impressed with the relaxed friendly atmosphere and the very helpful staff.I look forward to going back again sometime soon...Mags
We stayed in this hotel for one night, the staff were very friendly and well dressed. The rooms could do with a lick of paint, however we would stay here again
really enjoyed our stay i would recomend it to anyone very friendly staff and as for the food out of this world thank you very much will be back
Vsery happy with our stay at Talbot wexford .breakfast and dinner first class
We had a one night break here and it was great value. Staff were friendly. Room was spacious. Breakfast was pleasant. Have stayed here before and would return. Wexford is a nice town for a break.
We stayed at the Talbot Hotel on a lidlbreak.ie deal. It was really great value for money. The hotel is right beside the town so you can park your car and leave it there until you check out as everthing is within walking distance. Also we had full use of the Leisure Centre and Swimming Pool for free so don't forget your swimsuit. We had a really enjoyable snack in the Bar which offers a good selection of food, but there is also a full restaurant if you want to use it. All in all it was a very good stay at a great price. Staff were very good too.
We had a midweek break at the Talbot in Wexford, We had a truly relaxing time! Room recently refurbished to a very high standard! Food delicious! The staff were extremely pleasant and most helpful. Wexford town itself is a great place for a break. Arrival 08/09/14
Had a very enjoyable stay in the Talbot Hotel, facilities excellent and staff were more than helpful.
On a recent Lidl-Breaks deal, we enjoyed an overnight stay at the Talbot Wexford on Sunday 17th August, in a basic, small, clean twin room. We were most impressed by ALL staff for their warmth and courtesy. Dinner was excellent, as was breakfast the next morning. I would highly recommended this hotel. Lovely staff, amazing value, great location. Brenda, Dublin
Fantastic stay. Nothing too much trouble with a 9 month grandson. Family room spacious and clean. Unbelievable breakfast available for all dietary needs , nothing too much trouble from a welcoming and helpful staff . Great reception staff . Will definitely stay here again. Thanks
myself and my family had a short break in the Talbot Hotel which we all really enjoyed the food was gorgeous in both the restaurant and the bar.The staff were all very helpful and all really friendly and i could not fault them in anyway my children age 8 and 10 spent most of their stay in the swimming pool which i must say was brillant and really clean they always had fresh towels waiting and locks and lockers with no extra cost which was great, I would recommend the talbot to anyone with kids we were made to feel very welcome and i felt very at ease there. All in all i will return for another break in the talbot very soon
had a lovely 2 night stay with an up grade on our room sea view food was lovely and hotel staff so friendly beds so comfy will return soon
Nice hotel and staff. Room a bit dated and I didn't get the best view. Good value though.
Had a gr8 break at the Talbot hotel in Wexford... Lovely hotel and all the staff we extremely nice and helpfull... Food was lovely and our room was beautiful...Would highly recommend this hotel....
I really enjoyed our time in Talbot, very good deal. The restaurant was v nice and the food excellent. The staff are v friendly and helpful. We stayed on a very warm day and found out bedroom v hot and stuffy. We had no air condition and were right beside kitchen fan outside. Otherwise the room was very comfortable and clean. Overall a lovely break.
10 out of 10... staff very very friendly and really central... perfect for families... could not say anything negative except we didn't say long enough... definitely back again...
Excelan Enjoyed every thing and thanks
The service and hotel were fantastic! Great location for the centre but not too close! Can't recommend it enough!
Talbot Wexford had an excellent stay ,staff excellent, location excellent,........however was a little disappointed with the bed rooms for a 4 star hotel. While it was clean it was rather small and tired looking. The room 233 led on to a balcony which was unkempt and dirty thus bringing small flies into the room. This made me wonder as we were on a special package did we got an inferior or not yet refurbished room?.The corridor had a strong smell of Shake and Vac a sign of covering up a worse smell.of dirty carpets. The bar area was good as was the bar food and service and the staff were excellent Mary Chambers
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the talbot hotel : the view was lovely, the bedroom and bathroom quite comfortable, the food excellent and the people very helpful all day long (i asked for a pina colada and the waiter brought the perfect one which is pretty rare). The hotel is right in the middle of the town so shopping was quite easy but closed to the town exits which permit us to visit quite more places than we hoped. We will certainly come back soon and this time we will enjoy the pool.
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Meal lovely very good value. Would book a Lidl Break again no problem. excellent value. Josephine
Nice hotel.... friendly staff. Probably not really a 4 star but very clean and comfortable. Right in the town and nice sea views. Great entertainment in the bar on the Saturday night. Really enjoyed the weekend.
talbot wexford great hotel great food and even better staff and aoife on recption was fantastic will stay again joe {newbridge}
We had a wonderful time in the Talbot hotel everything was great the food was excellent and the staff were exceptional. WE had afternoon tea when we arrived which was fabulous. The only negative thing I would have to say is some parts of the hotel could do with a lick of paint. We also had problems with the lock on our door (swipe card) and several times we had to go to reception to get this sorted which was a little annoying. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Star rating 4 1/2 out of 5
One night Lidl break in the Talbot Hotel. Central location in Wexford town Lovely room on the 4th floor, very friendly and helpful staff. 3 course evening meal in the restaurant was enjoyable. Great value ;)
Great stay in the talbot hotel, very easy check-in on arrival, lovely rooms, fantastic power shower, great range of food for breakfast, definitely will be returning.
Very nice stay no complaints
Stayed at this hotel for 1 night band b and 2 course evening meal.....Beautiful hotel and great food...Great music in the bar at night...Will definately return
the talbot was really lovely staff were very efficient and friendly the food was very good and plenty of it.very clean i would definitly go back
Highly recommend the Talbot in Wexford. staff very friendly and helpful. Food second to none. had a great view of the Patricks Day Parade from bedroom window. Definitely will go back
Had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel would definitely stay again. B Tobin kilkenny
Friendly staff, lovely food and a warm welcome. Entertainment in the evening was great too. Perfect location.
We stayed for a weekend break. A very nice Hotel, location is great just a few minutes walk to the Town and a 5 min Taxi journey from Train Station. Staff are extremely pleasant and efficient. Room was on the small side but adequate, fresh and clean, with Tea / Coffee making facilities. We had a rooms at the rear of the Hotel so overlooking buildings it would have been nice to have one facing out front to the Marina. The Dinner and Lunch was very good however Breakfast although Cereals, Juices etc, were in abundance, the Hot counter was not so nice. Food was placed on a plate and then put a Hot plate for a few seconds, ( Have never seen this being done in any Hotel, impression was food was pre cooked and being reheated)Tomatoes were not actually cooked / grilled. I did request to have mine grilled and this was done with no problem. Overall a very good Hotel, great value all round and very pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend.
excellent hotel no complaints
The Talbot is a very welcoming hotel by all the staff and is in a great location , The food is excellent value and the service is excellent .The pool is well worth a visit its nice and warm and not too crowded there is also a sauna and jacuzzi. The room was very clean and comfortable although a bit dated .I would definitely go back again.
Excellent service and excellent value menus & food. A very relaxing mid-week break.
We stayed for one night. Nice hotel with friendly staff. Good location with harbour opposite and Main Street just around the corner. Room was comfortable and clean. For €39 for 1 night B&B each it was good value for money.
Spent a saturday night here, nice hotel, nice view from the room , the band that played in the lounge that night were brilliant . Leisure centre is lovely. Will be back again. Dave, dublin
excellent location, good food and friendly staff. the room was huge and plenty of space. only one part of the window opened so it was a little stuffy
Had a lovely mini break here last week. Kids club was great and staff were very excellent..Will definitely be back...
Myself and my family stayed at the Talbot Hotel ,Wexford, recently and we had a fabulous time ,hotel has everything you need ,even for the kids ,staff were very friendly and helpful ,i would definitely recommend going to this hotel,we will definitely be back .
A great place to stay,staff warm & friendly,facilities perfect,food menu's a choice for everyone,and all of this at a great price,can't wait till im going back,thanks Niamh.
Stayed fo 1 night the staff couldnt be more helpfull . The rooms where very nice all in all a great Hotel
Had a great few days in the Talbot. Room brilliant great to look out at the sea, and see the boats. Foof great staff brilliant. Very friendly. And to make it better our friends came in from newross to make it even better, back soon
great location to explore town, lovely brekkie in the morn.bar food really nice.pool was heated nicely and also had kids pool.only downer was room was a bit small and didnt have much of a view.
This hotel is in ideal location and the downstairs is ideal. But bar maids were quite rude - I was standing at bar for at least 10 min whilst the they were chatting amongest themselves and later my friend asked a bar girl a question and she was again quite rude. All other staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very basic and small but for the price, it was ok. We requested bathrobes the following morning to go to the pool. When we rang reception, we were told they were only available to superior rooms, and that there is normally a e5 charge but they leave us off it. For a four star hotel, each room should have bathrobes! Bar food and breakfast was very good and the lobby was very comfortable. I will return again, mainly for its location and food but for a four star hotel, there are a few things that need to be seen to.
Stayed one night with partner and 16month daughter. Great hotel family friendly, excellent location. Definitely will be back
We had a lovely experience in the Talbot Hotel, very relaxing.
We had an enjoyable 3 night stay at the Talbot. Maybe we were extremely lucky, but we had a large room on the 4th. floor overlooking the sea and harbour. Bathroom spotless. All the staff that we had dealings with were very pleasant and attentive. Excellent variety of food at breakfast and indeed, a very good choice of food in the Ballast Bar too. Didn't get to try the restaurant. Looking forward to another stay.
I stayed in The Talbot Hotel Wexford on the 12th May this was our 4th time we love the hotel and think that you couldn't meet more friendly or accommadating staff. Since we have stayed in a few different rooms we think that if you book a room with a seaview the better the room. As a suprise my mother had paid for the room and also paid for a 3 course meal however after having the lovely starter and main we simply couldn't eat the dessert and on check-out the receptionist insisted on handing us back a refund since we didn't have the full dinner that was paid for. This totally amazed us. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to head to Wexford for some time relaxing time away from the daily grind.
Good value for what we paid, but if we had paid full rate, would have been quite put out. Downstairs the hotel is quite well maintained and our bedroom was fairly nice other than you could touch the door while sitting on the end of the bed...but the bathroom was really grubby, more like a 2 or 3 star hotel. The shower wouldnt stop dripping when turned off and ran out of hot water quickly. The staff seemed perfectly pleasant though. Handy location, 5 to 10 mins walk from main street.
Had a nice stay. Bar food was of excellent quality. Staff mostly quite friendly. Rooms had an old cigarette smell, however were kept very clean. Bed quite uncomfortable, perhaps in need of new mattress. Need for air con in all rooms. Residents mostly elderly.
Excellent service, food, all round well run hotel
Lovely hotel. Great leisure facilities, extremely pleasant and helpful staff. The food in the bar was delicious and great value. I will definitely stay here again
05th May 2013. Eileen, Kildare Stayed at the Talbot earlier this week, we had a triple room arrived early had no problem getting our room, the staff so friendly and helpful could no do enough for us even at breakfast the following morning asked if everything was all right. Food was lovely could not find a fault had tea making facilities in the room will be back again in June
2 night stay with kids. The kids loved the hotel, the swimming pool and over the Easter Break, there was a Talbot Tigers Club, where the kids attended a High Tea, made craft work, and then a movie (extra cost of €8.50). This gave you a 3hour break to enjoy the rest of the hotel. The bar food menu was great, I enjoyed the early bird menu over the 2 nights and I have to say the food was excellent. The location is great with the main shopping street just around the corner from the hotel. There is free parking with plenty of space. The only let down was we stayed in a recently refurbished room and the finishing was not great, with paint streaked across the outside of the window, etc. There is also ongoing room refurbishment at the moment. Otherwise a great stay, staff were great, friendly and helpful and would stay again, in fact looking to book again for the next bank holiday weekend in May 2013.
Pleasant hotel, friendly staff, standard room was a bit shabby (hardly four star...) but otherwise a good experience.
Really nice break, professional friendly staff, excellent facilities, good food, nice room. High standard across all of the various aspects of the hotel. I'd recommend a stay here esp for families.
We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The staff were very friendly, efficient and professional. The food on offer was exceptional and very reasonably priced. We will certainly stay here again
I cannot fault this hotel. It is near to train station and parking is free also. This was my second visit to this hotel and this time I sampled the early bird menu in the bar and found the staff very helpful especially due to fact that my wife is a coeliac and they were very patient and adaptable with the menu. I would go again if down that way.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Talbot. The staff were very friendly, the food (bar) was good, breakfast was also nice. The room was what you expect for what you pay basically, it was a little on the small side but accommodating at the same time. The hotel is in the best location if you want to stay in the city. The leisure facilities were also a bonus. I would definitely stay here again at the price I got it for.
Hotel was lovely and warm, staff very pleasant enjoyed our stay
Wee joyed our stay at the Talbot hotel and found the staff very friendly and helpful. As we arrived on the train we found the hotel was very accessible to the town. We enjoyed a shopping tour and a historic tour and found the town very lively and lots of lovely shops. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you Mary Walsh
brilliant hotel and such good value, will definitely do again, kids loved the swimming pool and got very good value beauty treatments in Claires beauty rooms.
Had a brilliant time with my sister. and my two grand children, food was very nice, staff were lovely and friendly, had a great room lovely warm and cosy the children loved the pool, as they say i be back. xx

My friend and I stayed in the Talbot hotel from 16th - 18th November and we had a brilliant time. The hotel is centrally located with beautiful rooms and great bar food. Will definitely be back! one tip: late night bar people should put a smile on their faces. Thanks Cathy
I recently stayed in the Talbot hotel Wexford with my mam and three aunts and cousin. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was lovely. The rooms were clean but could need a little TLC although they are renovating as they had signs up on the corridors the ques for breakfast were a bit long not enough people serving the hot food . I would recommend the Talbot as a place to stay and will be returning in the near future.
We had a fantastic stay for a family get together from the 16th to 18th November 2012. As we were such a big group, and without asking they put us in a separate area for dinner on both nights, which was great. The food was lovely and a good choice for dinner even though it was a set menu, and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful they were all lovely, nothing was too much trouble and all done with a smile on their face. We will certainly be recommending The Talbot Hotel to all our friends, and have already done so. The Bolieonies, Ashbourne.
Lovely hotel staff very nice and food fab.We will be back. Thanks Jim
Just back from a girls weekend @Talbot Hotel in Wexford. We had a great time hotel was very nice, food was excellent and so were the staff, and Lidl break @89 euro was excellent value . I would recommend this hotel and will definetely return in the very near future.
Very pleased with this hotel. Lovely room and very professional and friendly staff. Highly recommend
We went to the Talbot for two nights on September 21st. We have a really lovely time. It is a very welcoming and warm hotel. The staff are really very nice. The people of Wexford in general are really friendly and warm. Everywhere we went the service and friendliness was great. We ate in the hotel on one night and the meal was lovely. We also had lunch in the bar twice and it was lovely. Loved the place and will definitely be back. Thank you.
Staff brilliant and friendly. Food excellent. Location good. Reception/bar/lounge area wonderful. Only complaint is the bedrooms very basic for a four star hotel, wall mounted hairdryer with little heat, no iron/trouser press/no safe, but you could easily overlook this and would stay again. Leisure club excellent
Spent one night in this lovely friendly hotel, lovely view from bedroom. Food excellent, great location, overall great value for money.
Lidl breaks customers put in cheapest rooms in the hotel. I've stayed in the Talbot on quite a few occasions and this was by far the cheapest room I've stayed in. The view was of the air conditioning system for the hotel. Nice hotel but not much respect given to Lidl here.
My self Husband Daughter her Husband and three children stayed in Talbot from sunday untill tuesday this week I have to say the two hours it took for check in was completely unacceptable. My Daughter had three small children sitting that long in reception by the time the room was ready they were quite cross it certanly spoilt the start of their break .I Feel the way the situation was handled was not Satisfactory .
Talbot is really nice hotel. We booked last minute, and I reckon we got the last room in the hotel. Good value for only €98 BB for two.. Room 103 is not good! But there was no other rooms available to us. Noisy boiler outside window on the roof, which wasnt so bad when we had the window closed, but it was warm and we had to open the window, and strong smell of smoke in the room. Other than that, we like the hotel. Its nearby all facilities, shopping, nice walks, riverfront etc. The staff are excellent. Cant do enough for you. Really friendly. The breakfast was great. There was homemade jam/marmalade that was made by the chef himself. I bought two jars when I was leaving.! We would definitely return.
Stayed overnight in the Talbot Hotel for an early morning business meeting and have absolutely no complaints regarding the service from staff or the public areas (including the beautiful leisure centre). However, I have to say that the bedroom areas looked very tired, and a lot of improvements could be made without any great expense. E.g. the TV was not tuned in properly and was totally unwatchable - it also had ugly cables hanging down behind which could be easily tidied. The bathroom lock was broken and the bathroom towels were ravelling. The location is second to none and I would certainly have no problem staying there again. However, this time I would ask for a sea-facing room - I didn't enjoy looking over back-yards and car parks.
While we coulfd not fault the hotel on its staff and food,we stayed for three nights and on two of those nights there were weddings on in the hotel, and there was no seating available either in the lobby or in the bar for us to have food because the whole place was overrun with wedding guests waiting to go in for the meal. We had to leave the hotel to eat elsewhere. The same also occured later when we came down from our room to have a drink in the bar, the wedding guests had left the ballroom to wait for the tables to be rearranged and again there was no seating available in the bar or the lobby. There was also an issue with the heating . It is necessary to have the heating on in June ?
Hotel is gorgeous, food amazing and staff just brilliant!Room was small and windows over looked another side of the building, very depressing. We stayed one night and I feel the for price we paid we were definitely given a room that suited that price but I'm glad we weren't staying any longer in that particular room!Overall a pleasant night away was had!
What can I say - simply beautiful! A bright, modern hotel, ideally situated with great water-front views and every facility you could wish for. The staff were warm & friendly - you felt like they genuinly cared about your happines. Cannot speak highly enough of the whole experience. We will certainly visit Wexford again and would not dream of staying anywhere other than the Talbot. Highly recommended!
My wife and I were very pleased with our stay in the Talbot Hotel. We found the staff very approachable and friendly. Our room was clean, neat and ideal for our stay. We had food in the bar and I cannot fault either the service or the food. What impressed us both was the fact you could engage in conversation with the staff. We will certainly book a stay at the Talbot again.
Excellent hotel...no faults! will definatly stay again.
We stayed for just one night and if felt like a full weekend was so relaxing fantastic staff spotless friendly great restaurantat true HOSPITALITY AT IT BEST 10/10 to great staff lovely atmosphere will be back
Hello there, We really enjoyed our stay in the Talbot Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We paid 10 euro extra and had a lovely view facing the sea.Breakfast was fab and also enjoyed dinner in the bar. We could not fault this hotel.Enjoy your stay.
very disapointed with hotel in need of lots of upgrading beds covers pillows all old carpets worn and we had 2 large lights on outside our window all night meal 25 euros per person very poor would not try this hotel again 2 star
I recently stayed at the Talbot Wexford with two friends. I found the hotel staff on Reception very friendly and efficient.we were even offered help with our bags to our room. The room was comfortable, small but adequate for our needs and very clean. The bathroom was clean, if a little dated, the water was hot and the powershower was excellent. We had afternoon tea in the lounge area and it was lovely and fresh again the service was excellent and the atmosphere was cosy. We had pre-dinner drink in the wonderful spacious, bar, again friendly staff, excellent service and reasonable prices. We had a two course dinner included in our package and I have to say the standard of it was excellent. Speed of service, attentivness of staff, presentation, portions and quality of food was superior to other hotels i have stayed in recently including popular 4 star hotels in Wexford! Even though our room faced out on to the front of the hotel and we were on a main road, the bedroom was very quiet and we had a wonderful sleep. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Breakfast was the same excellent standard as dinner with the quality of food being served at 9.40 equal to a freshly cooked breakfast from home. Cant wait to return to the Talbot Wexford.
We stayed on January 17th on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis and were very impressed with the quality of service and the the food. The dinner was truly excellent with very appetising choices for the various courses which were beautifully presented. We were pleased to see so many other people staying in the Talbot as this added to the overall good atmosphere and enjoyment of our short break. The use of the pool was another welcome bonus. We will be back! Jean
Excellent quality and value. Very friendly staff and good leisure centre. Lovely food and the music on saturday night was fab

I thought this was an excellent hotel. The facilities were very good, and the breakfast excellent. The staff were both friendly and very helpful. I will sstay at that hotel again.

top class hotel / rooms / food /100 out of 100 will stay again, staff very freindly star rating10
We really enjoyed our stay in the Talbot Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room we were allocated had a lovely view facing the sea. Breakfast was marvelous and we had dinner in restaurant on our second night and it was excellent - a three course dinner for 2 people for 50 euros. We could not fault this hotel.
Hi there, our stay was top noch, when i booked i put wrong date on & hotel rang me & said it was ok so they still gave me the date i /we wanted at no extra charge. The staff were so so friendly, service amazing, food best i/we have had in hotel in a long time, as i need a walking stick to get from A to B they repeately asked if they could help in any way, the town is only a short walk away, we would return again, this hotel is for anyone who just wants a short break away. Thank you so much
Without exception, every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. The food was good and well presented. Our room, adapted for disability, was spacious, comfortable and well appointed, with a view across the estuary. Very good value for money.
Very nice hotel. rooms, reception, lounge & toilets were all spotless. Buffet style breakfast was beautiful and we were spoiled for choice, staff were extremely nice and very helpful. Didn't get to visit the leisure centre but if it 's as good as the rest then you'll be in for a treat. Location is also very accessible and some gorgeous views over the quay's. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Great value for money from Lidl also so keep up these rates lads. Jason, Laois.
We stayed at the Talbot Hotel on our attending the Wexford Light Opera Society's production of "The Mikado" which was excellent - a credit to all concerned and on apar with any professional production. The hotel was definitely 4* and we enjoyed our one night stay very much as the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We intend staying there again. We think that the Lidl breaks are great value for money and we use them frequently. Thanks Lidl!
Hi All just come back from the Talbot Hotel in Wexford it was fab great value great food and very accesable for wheelchairs .the only problem was we had to use a the main entrance for the swimming. Because of the wheelchair pool other than that it was fine staff very nice and helpfull. the kids club is great for familey's the kids are gone for the day and part of the night. We saved a fortune booking in on the Lidl Breaks .ie.
I really enjoyed our stay in the Talbot all the staff were very friendly and they would do anything for you. The rooms were very good and the food was delicious. We had a lovely stay. Paula
great weekend, staff wonderful, family had a great holiday
Lovely hotel, staff were really friendly & helpful and bar food was really good, breakfast wasnt bad either. Would definitely go back.
Myself and my girlfriends stayed last thursday 7/4/2011 , we had a lovely time The staff at check in were very pleasant and helpful with things to do in town Our rooms were very comfortable , two of the ladies used the swimming pool and could highly recommend the facilities, the tea and coffee provided in bedroom was wonderful and we had a great breakfast before we left and at check out the staff were once again so lovely. A lovely stay at the Talbot in Wexford for the four of us and at a great price with Lidl
four stars
We spent two nights in the Talbot. It was very good value. The staff were pleasant & the food was good. We had a large room but the bed was small & the sheets appeared fairly worn & thin. We have stayed several times over many years & the value has never been better. Rita
A fab family friendly hotel, with great food in the bar and restaurant and excellent staff. Breakfast was lovely buffet style with the works. Pool isnt huge but did the job. Less then 5 min walk to the main street. All in all i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice break in wexford town i know i'll be returning!
Hi myself and my partner stayed with yous on wed the 16th and thur the 17th of march this is not the first time we stayed as we have stayed several times in your hotel.on every occasion i found the breakfast left alot to be desired and one one occasion my partner stood at the breakfast counter for app 3-4 min waiting to be served as she was talkin to 3 other guest who were also complaining regarding service then on paddys night i went into the ballast bar to watch the match and found again the bar service well below standard there was probably 4 people walking around and in and out of the bar yet i found myself standing there several minutes waiting to be served it seems the bar staff were all new,its not that the bar was busy theres was probably between 15 - 20 people in the bar the staff seemed to be serving each person on a one to one basis while waiting on guinness to settle they wouldnt serve someone else.its not really what you would expect from a hotel in all honestly.i will say the dinner on the both occasion we ate there was beautiful. The house keeping staff and reception staff were nice and polite and the rooms were clean and well looked after but cant say i would be in to much of a hurry to visit you again. Yours stephen byrne
We stayed one night and really enjoyed it. It was great value for money from the Lidl website, we didnt get dinner included but it was very reasonable starter, mains, dessert, tea for %u20AC25 each and couldnt fault it at all. We'll definitly be back again and maybe this time take the kids. Asked for a sea view room and this request was granted, shower was lovely, bed was lovely, room was lovely. All in all we thouroughly enjoyed it!
Just returned from a 2 night break. The Talbot Hotel is perfectly located in Wexford town, minutes away from the main street & very accessible to shops, restaurants & pubs. We were allocated a 2nd floor room with a double bed & beautiful sea view. The rooms were quite small & just managed to fit a double bed & 2 lockers but were tastefully decorated & very clean. Digital controlled heating that you could turn off if room got too warm . Leisure facilities excellent. The usual options for the breakfast - cereals, fruit & yogurt & pastries were lovely. I felt however it was let down by hot buffet counter which was just adequate. It was manned by one person. We went for breakfast at 9am both mornings. Although we were served very promptly, the food was just warm & felt like it had been sitting on the trays for a while. Anyone arriving after 9.30am had to wait about 20 minutes to be served. That said on the 2nd morning a manager was present & did try to address the long queues. The hotel had 200 guests staying while we were there. Entertainment at night was excellent & to a very high standard. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Talbot. Excellent value & lots to do in the town. Rosie
Had a great weekend at the Talbot hotel Wexford,Hotel was Lovely and staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and great value for money. We will defiantly be returning to the Talbot in the near future and would recommend it to all our Family and friends.

We enjoyed our stay. Its great value for money. The room was very clean. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious and great value. The breakfast is buffet with many choices available. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. I found Lidl Breaks very easy to use and it is great web site to book short breaks within Ireland.
Had a great time location is perfect minutes walk to town centre. Our room had a great view of the sea. lots of parking. service was excellent. Bed was 2 singles pushed together i didn't ask to see if there was just a room with a double bed available but i should have. Bar food was nice. Lidl breaks is just easy to use for people who don't want to spend much time looking for value.
